How it started
A major game publisher released a game set on the Hakodate tram. Inspired by it, development began.
TRAMCITY HAKODATE is in Early Access, and we are expanding its route and trams step by step. We are a small team, so each item takes time, but we work through them in turn. The order and contents may change. Confirmed plans are announced in the news.
What we are doing first
| Route | Chiyogadai to Yunokawa (10 stops remaining) |
|---|---|
| Trams | Types 2000 / 7000 / 8100 / 9600 (Rakkuru-go) |
| Features | Turning back at the terminus / oncoming AI trams / three driving modes: Casual, Normal and Real / reverser support / a collision ends the run / a stopping-position guide |
| Visuals and sound | Improved 3D models for cars, turnouts and overhead wires / improved building models, with a lighter rendering load / more pedestrian routes / weather, time of day and seasons |
| Controllers | A fix for ZUIKI Mascons from certain production batches that do not work / key remapping |
| Other | Driving in sync with the real weather in Hakodate |
After that
| Trams | Types 710 / 800 / 500 / 30 (Haikara-go) and more; some are planned as DLC |
|---|---|
| Features | Entering and leaving the depot / driving in reverse / hold a key to notch up or down continuously / ride-comfort rating |
| Visuals and sound | A 3D driver model / weathering on the trams / ambient and in-car sound |
| Controllers | ZUIKI Mascon PRO support / support for the dedicated controller |
| Records | Scores saved online / achievements / saved profiles |
| Other | Co-op play / VR support / features for streamers / fuller fare handling (IC cards, day passes) |
A new title is under consideration. We will announce it when it is ready to share.
